As part of our welfare role the Al Madinah Society organised its annual sport day on 14th November 2010.Unlike the previous occasion,all the youngsters of our regions were requested to participate with a view to motivate in this area.Participants were required to fill an Application form of the several disciplines they can take part and they were required to adhere to the Regulations governing the competition.It was imperative to set certain limits for control purposes.By the grace of the Almighty it was a wonderful event.
The Sport day of 2010 was really a memorable occasion as there were more than 600 participants and people present.The elders and youngsters had had a very enjoying time together. To ensure the success of the sport day teachers and volunteers of the regions worked voluntarily since morning to afternoo.The whole day fatigue was nothing compared to the satisfaction they earned in seeing the happiness of the young generation.
Members of parliaments ,Dr the Hon Abu Twalib KASENALLY, FRCS Minister of Housing and Lands ,the Hon Showkutally SOODHUN, Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Hon Hawoldar Rihun Raj , the Hon Patrick Assirvaden Private Parliamentary Secretary,and the Mayor of Vacoas Phoenix extended their cordial cooperation and collaboration for the realization of this day.All the people present also got the opportunity to hear a few words said by the honourable guests.
The Al Madinah Society expresses its sincere gratitude to them all and if the Almighty willings,for year 2011 also we shall organize a similar social and welfare activity in the month of December.
