The Al Madina society is a registered association ,chaired by 18 executive committee members including a President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer. It has a total of 100 members present in the nearby regions.
With its available resources the Al Madinah Society has been attempting to serve all the communities in the regions . Since its creation the mission of this registered association has been to serve Islam.It has from time to time attempted to extend its services to the poor, the needy and the destitute through donations received from members and collected across the island.
With a view to extending its services in a new and challenging environment this association came forward with a project under the name of Al Madinah Educational & Welfare Centre in the Year 2005.
The general aim of this association was re-formulated so as to serve the society at large in promoting and developing academic facilities, religious programs and social activities. It has also positioned itself to fight poverty and its associated evils, from income arising out of donations and activities of this society ,in collaboration with the national and local government.
With such a strategy ,it is expected that many of the current evils affecting family and social institutions, to say destroying these at alarming rates, shall be reduced in the nearby regions and help the Government in creating and sustaining a stable environment.
